Sangamon County residents can tour Museum for $5 when they bring out-of-town guests
SPRINGFIELD - Sangamon County residents will pay just $5, which is one-half off adult admission, through March 31, 2010 when they bring their out-of-town guests to visit the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum.
"Sangamon County residents are the Museum's greatest ambassadors and we would like to show our appreciation with this special discount," said Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum interim director Jan Grimes.
Adult Sangamon County residents simply need to show their driver's license at the Museum ticket counter for proof of residence when bringing out-of-town visitors. County residents will be charged $5, one-half of the usual $10 adult admission charge. Children and visitors will be charged the standard admission fee of $10 for adults ages 16 - 61; $7 for senior citizens, students and military personnel with ID; and $4 for children ages 5 – 15. Children under 5 and pre-arranged school tours are admitted free.
The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Days. For more information, visit www.presidentlincoln.org.
